O.E. Snider Wood & Glass Portable Sign
Object/Artifact
The wooden case with a reverse glass panel that is lettered with gold leafing is from the 1940s era. It was likely a portable, self-promotional sign/item that the sign-maker, O.E. Snider would have carried to jobs. The gilded glass surface is framed with a simple wood case, including a handle, that was painted white. The lettering states, "Signs that Stay are Signs that Pay", "We Make Em, That's out Business," and "O.E. Snider on 61 at Benton Mo."
