Lasser's was a soda-maker that was founded in 1879 by John Lasser in the DePaul area and operated for more than 100 years. They were an exemplar of the "Mom and Pop" small business striving against the tide of the larger soda industry. Lasser's placed advertisements in the Saturday Evening Post, and in the 1940s, famed illustrator Norman Rockwell applied his talents towards their promotions.
