Seals Piano Co. Lightbulb Sign
Object/Artifact
Double-faced lightbulb sign that reads, "Seals Piano Co." manufactured by Federal Electric sign company. It is composed of five stock, raised embossed porcelain enamel letter panels for, "SEALS," and a lower single porcelain panel below that is not illuminated. Its main color a rich ultramarine blue and the lettering is white. An Art Nouveau, tendril-like motif decorates the top and bottom of each of the 5 letter panels. At the bottom, in the center of each panel, there is a small inscription that reads, "Federal Electric Co. Chicago. Pat'd. Nov 17, 1903."
