Object History :

David Benko and I visited Cummings, Inc. in late 2000. While touring one of the Cummings plants, we saw the sign sitting dust-covered in the back of the shop. We asked Tom, Jr. if, by chance, they wanted to keep the sign and he then asked us if we would want the sign. The sign was first exhibited as part of the Prototype Museum “Signs on Main Street” display, unveiled in conjunction with the ISA Sign Expo show in Las Vegas in March, 2001.
