Jan Comport got the Museum’s name through a reader of Signs of the Times. He called up saying that he had bought a former neon signshop–Flasher Neon–and its building in Pittsburgh. After several phone calls, the Musuem made the trip to Pittsburgh–once in February of 2001 and again on the way back from the April of 2001 roadtrip.
