Kick off your Halloween celebrations with this cinematic performance. Screams of Silent Cinema features live musical accompaniment to a selection of short, silent films specially curated for the spooky season.

About the performance: Moonwatcher, a psychedelic and ambient loop artist utilizing a variety of unconventionally-played instruments, presents a trio of Edgar Allan Poe adaptations. Scotchamo, who performs lo-fi improvisational music and sound with found objects and other curiosities, plays alongside three works by surrealist filmmaker pioneer Segundo de Chomon. Experimental electronic ensemble Strange Blue Juju takes on a 1911 adaptation of Dante’s “Inferno” with the help of several members of Death Itself, who bring their gothic sensibilities to the set.
