PRESERVING AMERICAN SIGN HISTORY

From the beginning, the Museum's goal has been to educate and to inspire the public.  Everything from admission tickets to personalized pavers to gift shop purchases helps keep the lights on, literally and figuratively!

HELP RESTORE THE IOKA MARQUEE

The American Sign Museum is proud to be the new, permanent home of the iconic IOKA marquee, originally from Exeter, New Hampshire.

With a mission to celebrate the rich history of American signage through preservation and education, the ASM is the only museum in the country to collect signs from every era and across the US. Not only does the ASM have resources and knowledge necessary to restore and install this historic sign, but the marquee will be re-installed indoors, therefore no longer subject to the elements. This will ensure the IOKA marquee will be appreciated by future generations.

The American Sign Museum is the premier institution for preserving historic signs and promoting the contributions the sign industry makes to commerce, culture, and the American landscape. Any  support to the conservation of this historic sign would be greatly appreciated and would ensure the IOKA marquee’s place in this story.

BUILD THE CHILDREN'S CORNER

The Museum strives to be engaging for visitors of all ages. The return of the Children's Corner will allow our younger visitors to play and learn using our collection through literacy, matching, and artistic activities. You can help today by purchasing items from our wish list and donating them to the Museum. Your donation will help expand the sign related activities for children to enjoy.

DONATE A SIGN OR ITEM

The Museum's collection was not built in a day - it has relied on the generosity of donors.  Most of the iconic signs were donations.  All of our donors are formally recognized.  If you have an item or sign that you think may be of importance to the collection, please email our Collections Manager, Hannah Markisohn, at hmarkisohn@americansignmuseum.org with pictures and any information you may have on the object.

The Museum is a not-for-profit corporation: donations may be tax deductible.
