2024.0004.0001

Kluener Meats was founded in 1895 in Camp Washington by Joseph Kluener, Sr. as a meat processor specializing in smoked meats. A son, Everett, purchased the family business from his father in 1920 and operated it for 50 years, before selling it to other family members. The business remained in The Camp until 1995 when it moved to Fairfield. It closed its doors in 1997. The company was known for the winking eye cow sign along the west side of I-75, although its whereabouts are unknown.
