A distinctive sign for the Parliament House, which opened in 1962, will be preserved as a piece of Orlando history. The Orange County Regional History Center, as well as city officials, have been working together to create a future for the sign after the demolition of the building. Pamela Schwartz, a spokesperson for the Orange County Regional History Center, stated that while, "they would like it removed, the city is actually going to take and store it for now until we can all come up with a solid plan for its preservation."
