UGA Restoration Project

Students at the University of Georgia have embarked on a restoration project titled: "Color the World Bright," which aims to restore a number of "ghost signs" around town. Their current focus is on several hand painted signs on the exterior of a single building located in historic Olde Town Conyers. Three sides of the building’s exterior feature Coca-Cola advertisements, as well as Walker-Owens Furniture signage, which was the name of the former furniture warehouse. Students and professors partnered with several local businesses and organizations to collaborate over the course of a weekend to restore each sign.
