Hollywood Theater Marquee Removed

The marquee to the Historic Hollywood theater in Gowanda was removed and trucked via flatbed trailer to nearby Signs Unlimited where it will be restored. The wood-framed glass marquee dates back to 1926. Debbie Harris, grant and project administrator for the restoration of the theater, stated “It will look the same. It will be a little flashier with LED lights.” She added that the letters on the high-resolution digital marquee will look just like the ones that had to be installed by someone using a ladder.
