A Clabber Girl baking powder billboard that’s been a Terre Haute landmark since the 1930’s is being restored. It is believed to be Indiana’s oldest surviving billboard. The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and Terre Haute-based Clabber Girl Corp. are collaborating on the restoration. Its wooden frame will be strengthened and its electric clock will be repaired before it is repainted.
12/21/18 Update. Restoration of the Clabber Girl billboard has progressed, with the wooden frame now restored. Local painter, Becky Hochhalter, has now begun the repainting process.
