Events Frequently Asked Questions
How many guests can the American Sign Museum accommodate?
Up to 350 guests fit comfortably for standing cocktail receptions. For ceremonies, seated dinners and seminars, we can accommodate up to 168.
Do you provide the food?
For our corporate and small-group happy hours, yes. For larger events, you’ll want to make separate arrangements with one of our preferred caterers.
What are the options for bar service?
Our bartenders can provide full bar service or beer and wine only.
Can I show a video at the reception?
Absolutely! Full AV access is available for an additional charge. We have microphones and screens to display a presentation.
Can I have a DJ at the event?
Absolutely! We strongly recommend that you use one of our Preferred DJ's, but you may furnish your own.
Where is Camp Washington?
Camp Washington is just down the hill from UC, right off I-75 at the Hopple Street exit. We’re also just a couple of blocks from Camp Washington Chili, one of Cincinnati’s most beloved diners. In fact, Smithsonian recently named it one of the 20 most iconic food destinations in America.
Will parking be a problem?
No, valet parking is included in your rental package.
Do you book multiple events in one evening?
No. Your guests will have exclusive access to the all public spaces.
Is the museum handicap accessible?
Yes, the entire museum is completely accessible.
When will the space be available for our event?
The museum closes to the public at 4 p.m. To allow time for setup (4:30 PM), the earliest events can generally begin is 6:30 p.m.
Will the museum staff be present at my event?
Yes, museum staff members are on hand at every event.
Are candles okay?
No. We do not allow any open flames in the Museum.
What about bubbles and confetti?
No, they’re very difficult to clean up. Please, no glitter, birdseed or popcorn, either.
Do you provide coat check?
Yes, for a small per-person fee, we provide a coat check in the Museum lobby.
