Makers on Main: Walking City Exploration Cart

Makers On Main is a reoccurring program at the ASM that shifts the spotlight onto you!

We’re welcoming artists, performers, and makers of all kinds to help bring to life our Signs on Mainstreet Exhibit. Experience the magic of local creatives on our 1950s-style street scape complete with vintage storefronts and cobbled stones of yesteryear.

Makers On Main will be happening on weekends throughout the summer months. Be sure to stop by and support our local artists!

Walking City Exploration Cart in collaboration with the Cincinnati Museum Center

Explore how geographic factors kept Cincinnatians confined to the downtown basin and learn why our city remained a walking city longer than most. Use a giant authentic 1863 urban map, its key, advertisements from the city directory and illustrations to perform a series of tasks that help you understand what life was like then in downtown Cincinnati.
