This sign originally hung in the entryway of McIntosh’s Steak-n-Kettle Restaurant, located on Galbraith Raod in the Reading area of Cincinnati. Later, it hung in the home of its proprietor, Bill McIntosh after the restaurant closed. When the McIntosh’s home sold, the sign was left behind for new owners who then later donated it to the Museum.

The sign is ornately carved with realistic, 3D depictions of a chef working at a kitchen fireplace stove and a dog at their feet. The lower banner states the restaurant’s name and is designed with a floating ribbon style.
