This is from about the late 1930s to early 1940s. It is a rare example of early screen-printing in advertising. It depicts Dirty Dan the Carbon Man, which was a logo/brand for the Lubrizol Corporation. It also advertises a special automotive additive product that shortly after this time period, the company had switched from producing themselves to manufacturing ingredients for.
