Westinghouse Batteries Glass Globe Sign

Three-dimensional glass globe is crudely sandblasted and in-filled with painted copy in red and black.  Globe originally had incandescent light fixture fitting on top rim of globe so as to be internally illuminated.

Object was found in the crawl space under the first floor of the donor’s building.  These globes were made in Cincinnati by Cincinnati Advertising Company (CAPCO).
