Sign identified the R.H. Tugs restaurant along the Kill Van Kull waterway near Staten Island, NY. The restaurant closed down in April, 2012 and the sign was removed by Frank Torrone & Sons Signs, Staten Island, NY. The museum was made aware of the possible availability of the sign by Frank Inzerillo, a local signpainter/pinstriper. Torrone was contacted to see if they would save the sign until the museum could get to New York to pick it up. In the interim, Mike Bradley of Radocy Inc.–a Perrysburg, OH manufacturer of sign cranes.–offered to go pick-up the sign since he was delivering a crane to a nearby New Jersey location. He did and had been storing the sign in Perrysburg for three years, before he had a delivery in the Cincinnati area and could bring the sign directly to the museum.
