Texas Weiners Internally Illuminated Lightbulb & Plastic Sign

Sign is a typical Superior Outdoor Displays double-faced production sign that was customized for a local customer. There are three sections to the sign: 1) The top flashing star; 2) the middle internally illuminated circle with the custom “Texas Weiners” copy; and 3) the bottom flashing arrow.

Object History :

Sign was originally manufactured for a Connecticut hot dog stand, but never installed because the local sign code would not allow it. Sign remained in the business owner’s hands for a number of years before the antique dealer the museum bought the sign from acquired it.
