Painted and smalts wood sign has handcarved and gilded borders and corners as well as main copy reading, “Seal of Kentucky.”  Painted pictorial depicts Dorsel’s Flour bag.

Condition :

Fair: Some smalts is missing, especially in the seams of the horizontal boards.   Goldleaf is largely missing, although enough remains to indicate borders and lettering were gilded.  Paint around edges of sign is heavily chipped and pictorial is faded.
