Double-faced, neon-illuminated sheetmetal sign for “Elmer’s Billiard Hall.”
Elmer’s Billiards was located on State Street just across the Ohio state line in West Harrison, IN. The pool hall was upstairs over a bar called, “Corner Cafe,” and was across the street from Al’s Barber Shop. The sign was fabricated by Jim Jaeger of Jaeger Signs, Harrison. OH. Jim had a shop in Harrison in the 1940s-1960s era. (Information courtesy of Terry Viel @ 513-867-0377. Viel visited the museum in August 2012 with friends and recognized the sign. Additional information provided by Herb Howard who visited in October, 2016. He noted that Bill Viel probably worked on the sign. Viel is 89 and still lives in Harrison).
